Would you go for something like that and tie a specific class to genetics of dragons? Would you raid the Dragonmarks of Eberron and go with the idea of specific families of humanoid PCs having specific marks on them (presumably each mark tying into one of the specific clans of dragons.or types of dragons, if you want to keep it down to 15 marks)? If you go beyond the children, do you get more diluted forms of part-dragon creatures? I know some folks argue that sorcerers have dragon blood.

If you can have one story, like that, in Dragonlance canon, I would have thought you could have multiple stories like that in Council of Wyrms (even if none exist in canon).Д¬ould dragons and the various humanoid races that are PC options in Council of Wyrms marry and have families? If you could find something underated in the legends of Council of Wyrms and suggest that was a major thing for the dragonborn, that would give you a vibe of them always being there (out of sight). But there would probably be themes that could be rebooted to work with Council of Wyrms's existing mythology and legends. So, if you were using the dragonborn in Council of Wyrms, you might want to decide if the Dawn War (and the Dawn War deities) were baggage that you wanted to avoid importing. The Dawn War is tied into Nentir Vale, so also tied into dragonborn. The map only seems to cover about a quarter of the planet, so it might be possible to create some sort of 'Australian-island' on the far side of the world if you wanted to say that dragonborn nation has been there for as long as the other races. I'm guessing dragonborn would need some sort of retcon to bring them onto the same world as Io's Blood Islands. And if a someone was independently creating the same ritual, it would be easy to drop things like fixed alignment of draconians (which according to the canon for noble draconians, suggests that draconians are the opposite of what dragons are). You only really need that ritual, so any Dragonlance baggage would be very easy to leave behind. I suppose that draconians might work for Council of Wyrms, as dragons do work with people and a selfish dragon might want to steal eggs and create an army.
